ANSWER THESE MATH QUESTIONS AND GET A MEDAL!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The volume of a cone is three hundred cubic kilometers. If the radius of the base is 5 kilometers, what is the height of the cone? Use three point one four for pi. Show your work and round to the nearest tenth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please write answer in words like "i did this then i did that"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know the formula for the volume of cone???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello sweety! V=πr^2h/3 is the formula for cone. so, if the volume is 300, 300=πr^2h/3 would be it. than the radius is 5. so that would make 300=π5^2h/3 so if you work it out, the answer would be 11.46

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will work out the steps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

300=3.14(5^2)h/3 300 = 3.14(25)h/3 300 = 78.5h/3 now multiply 3 to both sides to cancel out fraction. 900 = 78.5h finally, you divide 78.5 on each side to get the h (height) alone. h= 11.46496815...... would be the height! so if you round to hundreds it will be 11.46 as your final answer !!! If you have trouble following, I will Draw and work it out for you! Let me know.
