Read these lines from White Fang by Jack London: Dark spruce forest frowned on either side the frozen waterway. The trees had been stripped by a recent wind of their white covering of frost, and they seemed to lean towards each other, black and ominous, in the fading light. A vast silence reigned over the land. The land itself was a desolation, lifeless, without movement, so lone and cold that the spirit of it was not even that of sadness. What does the setting suggest in these lines? the harshness of nature the beauty of winter the beauty of silence the beauty of nature

@paki
Well i dont think that the answer is C. I'm leaning toward's B or D but it could also be A. I'm not to positive on this question sorry. I would put B but that's just my opinion.
Its either A or B
Yeah that's what i was thinking. I mean the passage sounds kind of dark but then again it's also talking about winter..
But setting is refers to the time & place
dark doesnt count as a place , hmm
@ManImStumped
It is A. There is no beauty in words like: frowned, black and ominous, lifeless. Only harshness. So A
Thank you!
