this is false. The mode is the number that is repeated the most amount of times, whereas the median is the middle number in the set. Suppose I had a set of numbers {1,1,1,2,3,4,5,5}, then my mode is 1. But my median is three. three is the middlemost number in value of the set, not the average. the average/mean is adding all of the numbers together, and dividing by the amount of numbers. The mode is only applicable when there is a repeated number. the median can be the same as the average, only on occasion. Hope this helps. Noah
