Use the given graph to determine the limit, if it exists. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=aken38&s=8#.U96V-ChpfS8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is their a limit from the right side? Is there a limit from the left side? Is there a limit form both sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it -1 and -4 from the left side and right side? im not sure about the both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It ask fro the limit as it approaches from the left side at bottom of page so your answer is what>|?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1? idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct...good job. FYI there is no limit from both sides as the function from the left and right side do not equal each other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would i word this? the limit from the left side is -1 and...

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

@nelsonjedi What about the fact that the graph shows us that f(3) = 7. Does that influence the limit as x --> 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it?
