I need help with two problems Please help!?!?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now that you have helped Bernard design the pool, he presents you with a situation. There are x number of communities that will be designing homes with the pools. The number of homes within each community is six more than the number of communities. The number of hours that will be required to build each home is double the number of homes in each community.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a.Since x represents the number of communities, determine the two other expressions used to represent the number of homes for each community and the number of hours required to build each home. b.Using the three expressions, interpret the meaning of each grouping of factors as a single unit, and also simplify each expression by finding their product. c.Explain how polynomials demonstrated the closure property throughout this exploration. hello I only need help with b and c I got a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please @texaschic101 can u help

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am not to good at these...hmm...let me see x = communities h = homes r = hrs to build each home number of homes = 6 more then number of communities h = 6 + x number of hrs = double homes r = 2h did you get this for A ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

couldn't u just say x=communities (x+6)=number of homes within each communities 2(x+6)=number hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for a

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes....thats what I got for A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now for b would the three expressions be x(x+6) =number of homes in each community

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x(2x+6)=number of hours to build each community

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+6)(2x+6)= the number of hours to build each home

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and I think (x^2+6x)(2x+6)= the total number of hours to build each house in the communities

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

so number of hrs to build each home..... 2(x + 6) which equals 2x + 12 I don't know...sorry....you might have to get someone who knows what they are doing :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well 2x+12 is the same as 2(x+6)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also I messed up on the equation I wrote (2x+6) I meant 2x+12
