Which of the following is an example of a sentence fragment? He wrote a book. It is short. Many people like it. Mostly the ending.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really dont remember what a sentence fragment is thats the part im kinda stuck on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A sentence fragment is part of a sentence set off by a capital letter and final punctuation. Ex. The circus clowns under the big top. A complete sentence or main clause contains a subject and a verb and is not a subordinating clause, a clause beginning with a word such as "because" or "who."

ok i understand but the question they asking ion really get the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he wrote a book

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wouldn't be. 'He wrote a book' has both the subject 'He' and the predicate 'wrote a book'. It would be 'Mostly the ending' because that is a subject and needs a predicate. What about mostly the ending? It could be "Mostly the ending was good". So D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Manimstumped, would be right. All of them have a subject like he, it, etc. Except D. The website I gave you should clarify your confusion on sentence fragments.
