\[\frac{ 4\pm4\sqrt{10} }{ 8 }\]
\[\frac12(1\pm\sqrt{10})\] or \[\frac12\pm\sqrt{\frac52}\]
@agreene how did you do the second one?
i didn't explain that well...
you can divide the 10 into 5 but you have to put the 1/2 in the radical to keep the value

the answer came out like this \[\frac{ 1\pm \sqrt{10} }{ 2 }\], can you ignore the \[1\sqrt{10}\] into \[\sqrt{10}\]
no, because its adding or subtracting the sqrt
you can separate it into two fractions which is what I did
also \[\frac12(1\pm\sqrt{10})\] is just moving the 1/2 out its the exact same as what you put
