OpenStudy (puzzler7):

\[\log_{4} (\frac{1}{\sqrt{8}}) = m+2\]\[\log_{4}(1)-\log_{4}(\sqrt{8})=m+2\]\[-\log_{4}(2^{3/2}) = m+2\]Does this help?

OpenStudy (puzzler7):

The last line should be:\[-\log_{4}(4^{3/4})\]Sorry.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Ok, puzzler7 is going the right way with this...logs is the way to go. I did it a bit differently though, I think easier...but same result. I'll show mine too.
