halophile is greek for salt-loving. i remember it that way :) Halophiles are organisms that live in high salt concentrations.or you can put Halophiles are extremophile organisms that thrive in environments with very high concentrations of salt.

Thermoacidophile- A thermoacidophile is an extreme archeon which thrives in acidous, sulfur rich, high temperature environments. i remember that because thermo & they live in high temperature environments.

methanogen-are microorganisms that produce methane as a metabolic byproduct in anoxic conditions.

archaebacteria-diverse group of bacteria sometimes called the archaea and considered a major group unto themselves.
