@tejasvir do you know this one? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C. do you know why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

becuase it passes through it? o';

OpenStudy (anonymous):

point slope formula : (y - y1) = slope (x - x1) so your given the slope which is -5 so (y-y1) = -5 (x-x1) and your also given 1 point so you plug those in aswell ( y +1 ) = -5 ( x - x1) now plug in the x value y + 1 = -5 ( x -2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh omfg so you have to do all that? O:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about this one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you can do this one by yourself:) just try all you need is this equation y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B? :) @tejasvir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good job! i knew you could do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anytime:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait what about this one? it looks like C but idk im confuzed :/ @tejasvir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so what is the equation of a line that i told you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right! so what is the slope of the line thats given in the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its B or D right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets work through it we are almost done:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is the slope thats given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 @tejasvir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help fast plz bc i have 3 other questions i needa do and im on a timer :/ u know how that goes :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tejasvir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right so it is y = 2x + b now plug the point into the equation 1 = 2*1 + b solve for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait no B!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 = 2 + b 1- 2 = b what is b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right so the equation is y = 2x -1 right so which answer choice is that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean A lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks tho (" :

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea. anytime:)
