isn't a case study just involving 1 person? like the sample size is 1? i have an article that studies 4 nurses in a hospital. does that make it case study? i am not suppose to use a case study. that's the problem
You need a LARGE sample size to really have a conclusion about something.... For example, if one people told you a tornado was coming.....would you believe him/her? What if 10000000 people told you that a tornado was coming.......lol You better run.
right, but what this article is for is to discuss the cultural barriers nurses experience with ethnic patients in healthcare? does that make a difference?
you missed the analogy. You need more than 4 people to be a study case.
It depends on your definition of case study. It is generally, like @oOKawallOo said; however, case studies can also (and often do) refer to a study of a particular case. For example, the cholera outbreak in london 1854; or, a study of a particular trivial patient, like the current US patients of ebola (which would be a case study in how the US medical system addresses this kind of thing)
@Somy @KL-RC
@agreene You could be right. It depends on the case study. If the 4 nurses in the SAME hospital contracted the SAME deadly infection, you can write an article about it. Im not sure what the study case is about. So.........
