OpenStudy (anonymous):

Before the game begins, the coach reviews the new plays with the team. Select the answer that identifies the type of clause used in the sentence and the word being modified. A. adverb clause; coach B. adverb clause; reviews C. adjective clause; coach D. adjective clause; reviews

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

an adverb clause needs to have a subject + a verb, it has to have subordinate conjunction that keeps the clause from showing a complete thought, and the clause needs to answer one of these three questions: how, when, or why? ex. tommy scrubbed the bathroom tile until his arms ached. an adjective clause needs to have a subject + a verb, it'll begin with a relative pronoun (who, whose, whom, which, or that) or a relative adverb (when, where, or why) then it'll act as an adjective and will answer these questions: how many? what kind? or which one? ex. that bounced across the kitchen floor

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

I don't think it's an adjective verb, I'm pretty it's A or B. which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

it's B, reviews. it answers the "when" question when did the coach review the new plays with the team? before the game begins.
