OpenStudy (precal):

Right hand limit and left hand limit as x approaches 3 of (2x+5)/(x-3)

OpenStudy (precal):

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 3^{-}}\frac{ 2x+5 }{ x-3 }\]

OpenStudy (precal):

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 3^{+}}\frac{ 2x+5 }{ x-3 }\]

OpenStudy (precal):

I have to show algebraic analysis....not sure what to do other than to refer to the graph of the function.

OpenStudy (precal):

Should I sub a number close to 3 from the right and close to 3 from the left?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

From the left you could use x = 2.99999 or something like that, and from the right you could use something like x = 3.0000001 or something like that. That's beginning concepts in calc but nothing wrong with that!

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Obviously you can't use x = 3 and I know you know that. So go about it a different way. Easier is always better in math.
