I do not understand this question will somebody please help me?? We are doing parabolas just so you know the question is: Find the vertex of the graph y=x^2=6x-4.

OpenStudy (phi):

your equation has a typo. Is it y = x^2 +6x-4 ?

OpenStudy (phi):

This shows how to find the vertex http://www.mathwarehouse.com/geometry/parabola/vertex-of-a-parabola.php The idea is to match up your equation to y = ax^2 + bx + c (in other words, match the letters to the numbers in your equation) if you have just x^2 think of that as 1 x^2 once you find what a, b and c are use this x value of the vertex is -b/(2a)
