jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
first, do you know how to simplify 4√32 ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
= Root(32)/4
= Root(4 * 8) / 4
= 2Root(2*4) / 4
=2*2rRoot(2) / 4
= Root(2)

thts how my teacher taught me

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
ummm right idea but I don't think there is division involved with this one :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well hey trying here lol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i thought since its a fraction you divide
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
lol well I'm not seeing "4√32" as a fraction...?

true

so dividing is something wrong to do
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
yeah, since it's not a fraction
but you were right on every other part of how to do it :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lol so my answer is rght
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
not quite :P just do 2*2rRoot(2) * 4 instead of "2*2rRoot(2) / 4"
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so its 4

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
huh?
2*2 Root(2) * 4
= 2*2*4 Root(2)
= 16 Root(2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh well still confused
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
4 Root(32)
= 4* Root(4*4*2)
= 4*4 Root(2)
= 16 Root(2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
wait nvm
jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
then simplify 6 Root(50) with the same idea
