Find x.

OpenStudy (pandalife):

???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Pandalife

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. 3/4 b. 2 c. 1/2 d. 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KlOwNlOvE can you help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@camerondoherty @YanaSidlinskiy can one of you help

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

What do you think it is? Have you tried attempting the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I attempted and got confused setting it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Me too @YanaSidlinskiy I don't know how to set the problem up

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

To solve for x, what do we need to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x }{ x+1 }\frac{ x+3 }{ x+10 }\] or \[2x+13=x+1 \] is how i thought we would set it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking it was the second method @KlOwNlOvE @YanaSidlinskiy

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

@KIOwNIOvE Where did the 2x+13 come from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in one of the sections it has both x+3 and x+10 so i combined those together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in CD

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Aha! Ok. Lemme see what I can doo. I'm solving it and for some reason it doesn't come out to the right answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i kept getting a negative solving it

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Hmmm...How did you solve it? ! way or second way?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Second way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2x+13=x+1\] -x=-12 x=12 2x+13=x+1 x=-12

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

@ikram002p I think ikram will know. Hang on.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

What do we get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's X1-X2/2 right?

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

ya.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[m=(\frac{ x1+x2 }{ 2 },\frac{ y1+y2 }{ 2 })\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what to input for the x and y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SolomonZelman can you help with this please :)

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

OMGOMGOMG. I think I'm leading you into the wrong way. Don't use it! Shoot! I'm really not sure and sorry:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its ok @YanaSidlinskiy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@texaschic101

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its setup like this (x) (x+10)=(x+1) (x+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KlOwNlOvE @camerondoherty @ikram002p
