Insulin is responsible for glycogenesis and glucagon is responsible for gluconeogenesis.
OpenStudy (abhisar):

and you don't need to lie ;)

alright, haha :)
OpenStudy (abhisar):
Glycogenesis is the process of formation of glycogen from glucose and its antagonistic is gluconeogenesis.

OpenStudy (abhisar):
When blood glucose level rises then insulin catalyses the conversion of blood glucose into glycogen [the reaction occurs in liver] and when the blood glucose level drops then glucagon catalyses the conversion of stored glycogen into glucose. in this way a homeostasis is maintained.
OpenStudy (abhisar):
Got it ?
or u still need to lie ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
haha, i got it. :P

Thank you.
