How can a thermodynamically unfavorable reaction be made thermodynamically favorable? By coupling it with a series of favorable reactions such that the reactions add up to produce an overall reaction with G° = 0. By coupling it with a series of favorable reactions such that the reactions add up to produce an overall reaction with a positive G°. By coupling it with a series of unfavorable reactions such that the reactions add up to produce an overall reaction with a negative G°. By coupling it with a series of favorable reactions such that the reactions add up to produc

@JoannaBlackwelder

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Can you complete the last option. I think it got cut off.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By coupling it with a series of favorable reactions such that the reactions add up to produce an overall reaction with a negative G°. sorry about that

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

No worries.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Negative G is spontaneous, so I think we can eliminate the options that don't have that for overall.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

And I don't think that coupling with unfavorable would be helpful...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok down to C or D I think it's D but i'm not sure

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

I agree :)
