Here's the speech: When we were all little we had big dreams. And not just little ‘It’ll pass in a few days’ kinds of dreams, no, we all felt like we knew our purpose. For instance, my friend wanted to be the first female president of the United states, another wanted to be an artist. And me? I wanted to be a chef. I’d always help momma and teta (grandma) out in the kitchen-and I still do. My brand statement helped me get my first job as a sort of waitress/sous chef, in my aunt’s diner. I work 2-3 days a week, depending on when she needs me, and I just collect tips, but I do it for the experience. When she asked why she should let me work with her, the first thing that came up in my head was my brand statement. At first, she said she was worried that i would get hurt, because the neighborhood the diner is in isn’t all that great, but the first few days she saw me hold my own and gain the customers’ respect and trust, she knew I was a keeper. Out of all the targeted brand statements, I think the one to my family was the most difficult. With my family, I have different levels of playfulness with each special member. For instance, my mom and I are very close, as with my uncles, aunts and father. But with my grandparents, we’ve sort of drifted. Therefore, with everyone, it varies. I could not come up with one general statement. And to anyone trying to improve their personal brand statement, I have a few very helpful words. Keep it simple. The more you elaborate, the longer and more boring it will be. Let them ask questions, get them interested. Dont try to tell them everything in just three measly sentences. Hopefully, this information has been useful and has given you some insight on what i’ve learned in my leadership development class.

And this was the planing guide i was given for it Speech Planning Guide Your local city council wants a student to share something he or she has learned in school. They want you to give them a two- to three minute speech about your Personal Brand Statement. Use the Brand Guide you created in Lesson 04.04 as a reference when organizing your speech. Know your audience. To learn about your audience, you created a short questionnaire they filled out. Here are their responses: Length of speech: 2–3 minutes Location of speech: City Council Meeting, City Hall, Room 305 Number of people in audience: 10 What topics should I address? We are interested in what you have learned in your leadership class. Please address the following topics: How have you used your Personal Brand and open communication skills in your daily life? You created three targeted brand statements. Which of the three brand targets is the most challenging for you, and why?(For example, your family, teachers, or friends could be some of your targets.) What recommendations would you give to those who want to improve their Personal Brand?
