OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

What was the first thing I did wrong?

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

\[2x-3=4x-2\]Then I subtracted 2x from both sides and got\[-3=2x-2\]\[-3-2=2x\]\[-5=-2x\]Now I divide 2 from both sides\[\frac{ -5 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 2x }{ 2 }\]\[\frac{ -5 }{ 2 }=x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you did not flip the sign when you moved the -2 at the 3rd line

OpenStudy (ibbutibbu.):

once you had -3 = 2x - 2, you shud have done -3 + 2 = 2x, nt -3 - 2 = 2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to add 2 there, you have subtracted 2 there..

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

Ahhh, now I see. Thank you all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3 = 2x - 2 -3 + 2 = 2x -2 + 2
