Give the domain, range and zeros of the function? f(x)= (square root) 9-x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{9-x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what the equation really looks like.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the domain would be {x|x< or equal to 9} and the range is {y|yER}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x intercept or zero is when x=0 which is just 3 the y intercept is when y=0 which is just 9 so the zeros of the function are 3 and 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh hold on the range has to be {y>0} sorry about that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the function can never be negative because of the square root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh Okay, thank you for the help, so far i am following what you are telling me, and thank you for the help! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)
