What is the equation of the ellipse with foci (-10, 0), (10, 0) and co-vertices (0, -3), (0, 3)? x squared divided by 109 minus y squared divided by 9 equals 1 x squared divided by 109 plus y squared divided by 9 equals 1 x squared divided by 100 minus y squared divided by 9 equals 1 x squared divided by 100 plus y squared divided by 9 equals 1

The given eclipse is horizontal eclipse.... since foci is (+/-ae,0) so .......ae=10 since co-vertices is (0,+/-b), b=3, now \[,a^2=b^2+(ae)^2\] after this substitute this values in main equation.....
