Calculate the moles of magnesium that reacted. Put beaker onto hotplate and allowed product to dry. then but into drying oven overnight. Took out the beaker and set up a ring and wire gauze. Put the beaker on the wire guaze with a bunsen burner underneath. Heated the beaker until no liquid remains and then let cool.
