Hi! Let's find the terms one at a time :) What's the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good start! :) How about the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(Do you undertstand the formula in the question, or would you like me to explain it?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, close. If I understood your formula correctly, each new term is twice as much as the one before.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if the first term is -1, then the second one is -2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, then -4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A1=-1,\[A _{n} = 2 A _{n-1}\] So, -1,-2,-4,-8,-16,-32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Excatly, well done! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome! I think I was reading it wrong at first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quite often, the hardest part is understanding what all the notation and formulas mean :)
