post the new question
I'm not going to lie it is a Practice thing for my school and I am being graded but I care about learning the material more than getting the right answers.
what exactly is the question? are you suppose to make these up? a) a function whose domain goes from -1 to infinity domain the x values all the input values b) an arithmetic sequence you add adding or subtracting by the same amount as you go from one term in the sequence to the next term first term a 2nd term a + d 3rd term (a + d) + d 4th term { (a + d) + d } + d so it becomes a + (n-1)d where n is the "which term" c) system of equation with no solution means there is no value that will satisfy both equations at the same time. first example come to mind is parallel lines. same slope but never meet.
"I care about learning the material more than getting the right answers." Just wanted to comment on that and say that is really awesome, keep up the good work.
Awwh thank you guy(: I really do love to learn. Also I think the questions are asking what for an example of each of them and thank you for explaining each of them for me I kinda understand it better than how they had it in the lessons. Im also home schooled just wanted to throw that out there.
@Cosmichaotic thanks for letting her know that. I should have applauded her but I was anxious to help her especially since she had just told me she was new. I helped with 2 previous problems. @Student9623 have fun learning and I am here to help you as much as I can.
Of course =)
Thank you guys so much Im going to try and figure out some examples for that question and I'm going to need more help in a bit but I'll post my question in a bit.
would this be the answer for a? \[g(x) \sqrt{x+1}\]
and would b. be 3,6,9,12,14,15,18 and so on?
and would c. be 2x-4y=12 and 2x-4y=12
a) g(x) = and I am not sure I don't know the range you have to put {x; x > /= -1} b) do not include 14
Why shouldn't I include 14?
c) no that the same thing eg with same slope y = 3x + 5 and y = 3x -8
d = 3 right? 9 + 3 = 12 next 12 + 3 = 15
Ohhh oops i messed up the numbers sorry and I dont understand what you were talking about on a
c) no that the same thing typo *that is the same thing
What do you mean? C should be the exact same?
When I posted originally I wrote "...that the ... " I meant to write "that is ..."
so I was right and it should be y=3x+5 and y=3x=5?
in your example of c you wrote the same equation
you need 2 different equations
but if its the same there will be no solutions and if its different there will be
Its a system of equation so if you multiply one of them by negative 1 and solve for it you will get 0=0
if it is the same equation all values of x and y will satisfy the equation when they are different equations if they intersect you will have values x and y for equation 1 that will also work for equation 2 when they are different equations and they do not intersect eg parallel lines then the value x and y for the first equation will not work in the second equation
But they need to have no solutions
if you get 0=0 then it worked if you get for example 6 = 2 then it did not work
use the example I gave when x = 3 what is y for the first one?
what?
eg with same slope y = 3x + 5 and y = 3x -8 eqn 1 y = 3*3 + 5 = 9 + 5 = 14 eqn 2 when x = 3, y = 3*3 -8 = 9-8 = 1
Ohhhh okay. Hey I need to go to bed can we work on this some more tomorrow?
