OpenStudy (anonymous):

s=14cm, r=5cm. If s=r x Theta, find Theta in radians and degrees

OpenStudy (tylerd):

this is for arc length im guessing. so an arc length of 14cm 14=5theta = answer in radians

OpenStudy (tylerd):

then convert radians to degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i get 2.8 for theta, or 14/5, but how is this radians? Does this mean theta is 14pi/5 in radians?

OpenStudy (tylerd):

no just 2.8 radians

OpenStudy (tylerd):

pi/2 radians = 1.5707... radians

OpenStudy (tylerd):

so looks like this is somwhere in quadrant 2
