How do you put "one thousandth of seven thousand" in numbers?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

I may be wrong: \[\frac{1}{1000}*7000\] 1/1000 is a thousandth And you multiply it by 7000 to get a thousandth part from 7000

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

No, I'm not wrong lol. You get 7. If you mutiply 7 by 1000, you get 7000. There are a thousand 7's in 7000. :3

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf \cfrac{1}{1000}\cdot 7000\implies \cfrac{1\cdot 7000}{1000}\implies \cfrac{7\cancel{ 000 }}{1\cancel{ 000 }}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that's what i thought but I wasn't sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 7000?
