How does prokaryotic cell differ from eukaryotic cell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells is filled with a large, complex collection of organelles, many of them enclosed in their own membranes; the prokaryotic cell contains no membrane-bound organelles which are independent of the plasma membrane

Me Gusta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The major differences between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells are that prokaryotes do not have a nucleus as a distinct organelle and rarely have any membrane bound organelles [mitochondria, chloroplasts, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi apparatus, a cytoskeleton of microtubules and microfilaments].

yw XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are some differences between the two: Eukaryotic Cell 1) Has a nucleus 2) Has lysosomes 3) Has a endoplasmic reticulm 4) Has large ribosomes 5) More than one chromosomes 6) Usually multiecellular Prokaryotic cell 1) Doesn't have a nucleus 2) Doesn't have lysosomes 3) Doesn't have a endoplasmic reticulm 4) Has smaller ribosomes 5) One chromosome but not considered a true chromosome. 6) Usually unicellular
