OpenStudy (anonymous):

How can you explain to your friend that your logical reasoning in a proof is a clear and coherent argument?

OpenStudy (perl):

hmmm, this is kind of an open ended question

OpenStudy (perl):

if each step follows logically from previous steps and what is given, then it is a clear coherent argument

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is a question i was asked by my teacher as if in general and i did not know how to answer it and she said if i figured it out i could get bonus points and i want them lol but thats what i said and she said that well how would you explain how they were in logical steps she is confusing me

OpenStudy (perl):

if each step in the proof follows only from previous steps and what is given (your premises)

OpenStudy (perl):

this is a very general answer

OpenStudy (perl):

roughly speaking, an argument consists of premises and a conclusion. the premises is what youre given. your job is to show how you can get from the premises to the conclusion , logically. it is like making a bridge , there is gap between the premises and the conclusion which you have to span or close the gap.
