Trigonometry 13 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

My homework asks me to write (12x^3 -6x^2 +2x )/2x in simplest form. This is my second year taking algebra2/trig and I'm just horrible at it. Today was the first day back to school and the teacher wants us to warm up.. I can't remember how to factor trinomials!!! Please help?

OpenStudy (deepolisnoob):

first, you must simplify the numerator and denominator. In doing so, you will divide the top terms and bottom terms both by 2x, leaving you with the equation (6x^2-3x+1)/1, or just 6x^2-3x+1. From here, you factor the equation. This equation doesn't seem to be factorable, so I would recommend the usage of the quadratic formula to find your two x-intercepts.
