Steve synthesized a product that was 91.6% by weight pure. The effective dose that his clients use of a 100% product weighs 5.1 mg. What mass of Steve's product do his clients need to receive results?

You need to use a mass of product that is larger than 5.1mg, because not all of the synthesized substance is effective. What you need is to set up an equality of fractions, where 5.1mg, is 91.6% of some larger total, and solve for that larger amount.\[\frac {91.6}{100} = \frac{5.1mg}{unkown \space mass}\] and solve for the unknown mass
