Suppose that Black Dragon is located at the team garage and Lucky Lady is located 1000 miles away. Suppose also that the pair of dragsters travel directly toward one another. Select the pair of linear inequalities that uses the maximum speeds of the cars to model when and where the cars would meet. (Hint: The variable d is distance in miles and t is time in hours.)

help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer is impossible ....... we don't know the speeds. check the question again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

darionm96 Best Response Medals 0 A d ≤ 288t d ≥ 302t B d ≤ 288t d ≥ 1000 - 302t C d≤ 1000- 288t d ≤ 1000 - 302t D d ≥ 1000- 288t d ≥ 302t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ther you go :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still where is the speed??? speed of each dragster??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so speed are Black Drag= 288 and Lucky Lady= 302. u shld have told that first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since let total time=T then distance covered will be \[288T+302T \le 1000\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks :) i wasn't too far off

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pleasure :) so what will be the answer then..... since\[590T \le 1000\] substitute value of T in each of the dragster speed to find individual speed. T u will get as 1.695 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep!! correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much for helping me understand :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pleasure is all mine .....glad to help )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

think it's D
