X*Almost Impossible Math Question*X Question in comments! :)
Here it is!!
@SithsAndGiggles :D
Mary's salary depends on how much time she spends working. So if she works 1 hour, she makes however much money reflects her working one hour. If she works 2 hours, she makes however much money she would make. If she works \(h\) hours, etc. What this all means is that you can say her salary is a function of the number of hours \(h\) that she works. Since \(h\) represents the number of \(\color{red}h\)ours, you can toss out C. Got it so far?
So the answer would be C ? @SithsAndGiggles
Are you kidding me?
no
C is wrong
:(
I'm not going to bother explaining if all you want is an answer.
Oh nevermind!
I misunderstood
I thought you said C was the answer, but you actually said toss out C
My bad
This is just an additional practice stuff i HAVE to take for school. It doesn't count on my grade but i just really want help on it so i don't look like i didn't even try. My teacher said that p i can get help from people.
Right. Suppose we don't know what her wages are. Let's say she makes \(x\) dollars per hour. If she works 1 hour, she makes \(x\) dollars. If she works 2 hours, she makes \(x+x=2x\) dollars. If she works \(h\) hours, she makes \(hx\) dollars. The given equation says \(\cdots=\color{red}{6h}+\cdots\). We can extrapolate to say that Mary must make 6 dollars an hour.
So judging by this, you can also *eliminate* B as a choice.
Ohh yea!
I got it D was the answer
thanks!
Right you're welcome
