I JUST LEARNED THESE AND I LOVE THEM

I I don't understand it at all...

hi welcome to Openstudy :)
what do you have to do with this quadratic equation? any specific question?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay so the 3 means that the function is horizontally shrunk and the vertex is basically (7,4) Because |x-7| = 7 and if you plug in 7 with x you get 4.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Since the function is horizontally shrunk by a factor of 3, the function will look like this.

I started with 3(x^2-14x+49)+4 then 3x^2-42x+151...am I doing this correctly?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so you just have to expand it?
if so, then you are doing it right :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
This is horizontally shrunk but vertically expanded if that makes any sense. lol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well, it's definitely a process that I just don't understand but am trying to figure out.

Thank you for your help
