OpenStudy (lexy148):

how can i find the slope and y-intercept for this problem? y=-4

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hint: y = mx+b has a slope of m try to rewrite y = -4 into the form y = mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, there is no y-intercept, it's just a straight line. y WILL ALWAYS equal to -4. so the points could be (1, -4) (0, -4) (-10, -4) ....no y intercept, only x intercept.

this is how it looks like: |dw:1410399637180:dw|

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

dg98, you mean "there is no x-intercept" the y-intercept is (0,-4) |dw:1410399789623:dw|

OpenStudy (lexy148):

kk thx @jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
