Kendall is stacking boxes that are 7.5 inches tall. explain how to find the height in inches of the stack of boxes after kendall adds the nth box

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The 9th box?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n'th like after n many boxes. Where n = 1 is 1 box

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So when n = 1, h = 7.5in n = 2, h = 15in And we can say 7.5n = h where n is the number of boxes and h is the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you set the problem up cause I am confused I did 7.5*15= 112.5 then I divided it by 2 and = 56.25 is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did you do 7.5 * 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if each box is 7.5 in. And we say there are n boxes. Then there are 7.5n (in.), where you put the number of boxes as n.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not 15 I meant 30 sry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hang on I think I messed up some where I gonna re look

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it solved
