Thank you for the clarification. You could leave x-1/12 in that form, or as\[x-\frac{ 1 }{ 12 }\] or you could combine the two terms into a single fraction. To do the latter, recognize that the LCD is 12. Multiply the x by (12/12). Draw 12x/12 - 1/12 in the Draw utility. Can you now write out the correct numerator of this single fraction? What is the denominator of the fraction?
