OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

Write a mathematical model for the following statement. Use k as the constant of variation. C varies directly as the square of t .

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

would that mean the whole thing has to equal t^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@naomi12345 you can't give full answers @phi

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

t-t what in the world lol

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

how is being homeschooled an insult o.o

OpenStudy (phi):

read this statement C varies directly as the square of t that is the same sentence as the previous problem do you see how to write down the equation? Look at the previous post.

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

d=k t^2 So in this case C=kt^2

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. notice they asked Use k as the constant of variation if they had asked Use m as the constant of variation, you would have written C= m t^2 (but for whatever reason, people almost always use "k" as the name for the constant of variation)

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

alright so k is always used for constant variation hokay thank you once again
