Which function below has the largest slope? f(x) x f(x) 2 4 4 12 6 20 g(x) g(x)=10x - 4 h(x) Lance gains 1 level each time he plays his favorite video game. He started at level 10. can someone please help me?! WILL GIVE MEDALS

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Find da slope! y2 - y1/x2 - x1!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't even know how to do that? Can you walk through all of this with me please?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Awe crackers and cheese XD This is FLVS or OCVS grade 10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FLVS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not asking you to give me the answer. I just really need help.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Understood XD The thing is i dun really have the time for this ;-;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ugh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so to find the slope with points say, (2,4) and (4,12) you will need to label the points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can label the (2,4) as follows the 2 can be labeled x2 and the 4 can be labeled y2 with points (4,12) the 4 can be labeled x1 and the 12 can be labeled y1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I find the slope? I'm so clueless.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now you would plug in the numbers into the formula below: y2 - y1/x2 - x1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope = change in y / change in x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = mx + b m is the slope Given the g(x) equation 10x-4 the slope would be 10 for that equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is the slope 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope of the first one is 4 good job!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY! Okay lets keep going! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So when compared to the ten of g(x) obviously g(x) is bigger

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how do I find the slope of the last problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

You would do it the same way you did the others mate :D

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Not
