5 = 3x + 4
5 = 3x + 4 Subtract 4 to both sides: 1 = 3x Divide 3 to both sides: \(x = \dfrac{1}{3}\)
Equation: \(3x+4=5\) Move the \(4\) to the RHS \[3x=5-4\] \[3x=1\] Divide both sides by 3 \[\frac{3x}{3}=\frac{1}{3}\] \[x=0.333333...\]
