In a proof, in math, what does it mean if it says angle 1 and angle 2 is complementary? Do that mean that's the definition of complementary or no?

OpenStudy (gorv):

complementry angle means their sum will be 90 degree

OpenStudy (gorv):

angle1 +angle2=90 like 30 and 60 55 and 35 45 and 45 all combination which sum upto 90 are complimentry

OpenStudy (ahsome):

This means the angle add up to 90 For example, imagine angle \(a=40\) and angle \(b=50\) When we add up \(a\) and \(b\), we get \(90\) Therefore, we can say angle \(a\) is complimentary with angle \(b\) Since they both add up to \(90\)
