Though #1 has two terms that's enclosed in parenthesis, we can't consider it as associative since the grouping of elements didn't change only the position of the number that's why it's commutative #2 Since this involves the regrouping of other elements on the other side thus it is associative #3 this quite obvious since the expression implies that the negative of the whole expression was just factored out #4 commutative since the arrangement of numbers was interchanged
