Give an example of a false conditional whose converse is true. I know what it means, I just can't think of anything >.< Does anyone have any ideas that could help?? Thanks! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧ ❤
@e.mccormick @ganeshie8
Think of some conditional that is always true. Let's say we come up with this conditional If it rains, then it is wet outside
That is definitely true. However, the converse is this If it is wet outside, then it rains which is false because you could use a hose or something to make the ground wet outside
you take all of this and apply it backwards to get to what the book is asking for here.
if it is a fruit, then it is an apple if it is an apple, then it is a fruit you can cookup many examples like this. in most cases, converse of a statement is not true
Oooooh, those are good ones!! Thanks!! Would this work? If it rained, then there is a rainbow. (False) If there is a rainbow, then it rained. (True)
looks good + gives pleasant feelings :)
but are you sure it has to rain to see a rainbow ?
Yes, because the rain acts as a prism for the light to make the rainbow, right?
Wow! it seems you knw more science than me :D hope you're right :)
Haha thanks! It should work ^.^ Thanks guys!! You're awesome!! :D Btw, is anyone else having loading issues with OS?? Just the SmartScores won't load for me. It's been that way for a while though. .-.
yeah same problem here and with most users
I'm having the same issue and your rainbow example looks good to me.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one haha, do you know if they're trying to fix the issue? And thanks!! @jim_thompson5910
