a polynomial of degree 6 whose coefficients are real numbers has the zeros: -6, 4,-2i,and 4-i. Identify the remaining zeros. How do i find the other zeros? Please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they will be 2i and 4+i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when dealing with imaginary numbers they come in congigate pairs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok i understand, but the -6 and 4 don't have conjugate pairs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no because they are real numbers so they dont need to be paired with their opposites

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basicaly what you are having is it will but some sort of square root of -1 so you will get a plus and minus i out of the deal thats why you have plus and minus 2i ect.

ok thank you :)
