1. What effects has the conflict in Pakistan had on families? 2. Describe what it is like in areas where the Taliban is in Pakistan. 3. Why do you think the Taliban targets poor families when they recruit new members? 4. How does the Taliban influence the children to join them? 5. How do you think social environments affect or influence crime and violence (in places like Pakistan or in your own country)?
4. They twist the Muslim religion and use propaganda to make it seem like we're evil and they're not. They rely on the young who are eager, just dumb enough and willing to put their lives on the line, while they themselves sit in relative safety.
For future reference, The answer given for 4 is basically the same for every communist style regime!
1.) Families in Pakistan have lost loved ones to war and crimes of war. Plus, many hardcore Muslims go away from family to fight. 2.) Taliban controlled areas are practically war torn. The Taliban takes control of places and destroys they that stand in the way. 3.) They promise riches. Poor men that want to support family are attracted to that! 4.) @adajiamcneal had that sooo right! 5.) Peer pressure in an area is something that encourages crime. The urge to belong. The urge to mean something to what you believe in. In all places of the world, people will turn to crime/ violence in order to be a part of something social, or if they think it's the right thing to do!
