X-13rad(x)+40=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Get the 40 to one side of the equation. What will you have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so x-13rad(x)=-40 @nelsonjedi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now factor x out of the left side of the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That has the potential to confuse me and is probably what I did not get in the first place, considering that there is a radical. Please explain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How I would go about factoring the x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take your time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would think we would look at it as x(1-13rad)=-40. What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you just pull the X out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes and the divide both sides by 1-13rad.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not seeing it
