I believe it should go something like this for number 7 "because they are all right angles, this means that angles 1 and 4 are congruent so by the converse of the alternate interior angles theorem, this means that the two lines must be parallel"

The two pieces will not be parallel, since the two angles, 37 and 50, add up to 87 degrees. They'd only be parallel if the angles added up to 90 degrees.
