Anyone who looks at my post I am not asking for the answers to just be given to me. I would really actually like help in understanding rather than the answer just handed to me.
Fundamental premise: Delete the prepositional phrase and it leaves a complete sentence. 1. Some youngsters under the age of four are learning gymnastics skills. 2. The instructors encourage them with words of praise. 3. The older siblings of these young children are often found on the high bars. 1. Some youngsters are learning gymnastics skills. 2. The instructors encourage them with words. 3. The older siblings of these young children are often found. It's not a perfect test, as there are other sorts of things that can be removed and still leave a complete sentence.
What it is saying for me to do is to figure out what kind of phrases they are. What is underlined on my document I have put into parentheses under each sentence. I don't understand the differences in the types of phrases
