For the graph of P(x) at right: (attached image)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. Give the x-intercepts as ordered pairs. b. Solve the equation P(x)=0 c. Find the zeroes of P(x)

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Want the answers or know how to do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both to be honest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is meant by question C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the zeroes of p(x)

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Zeros are the same thing as roots, which is the same as x-intercept; they want to know all the x-intercepts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be -6 and 0

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Correct! Although, personally, I would put "x= -6, 0"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't that the answer for B as well

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Well, looking at it, when it asks you to solve it, it seems that it is asking what is the value for x in P(x) = 0

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

So, yeah

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

The only way it would be different is if when it means zeroes, it means y-intercept as well, but a) it doesn't change the answer and b) i doubt zeroes includes y intercepts

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

But other than that yeah it looks like its the same answer for all 3, basically

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh alright thanks
