y-4/2=10

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Reduce 4/2, to make it easier, then get y alone.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to start it off ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nvm

OpenStudy (nfcfox):

4/2 is 2 meaning we can rewrite this as y-2=10 Assuming we are solving for y we would add 2 and so we get y=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i start off

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

4/2 is nothing but 2 so it would equal to y-2=10 add 2 on both sides and we get y=12

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

y=12 is the answer for \[y-\frac{ 4 }{ 2 }=10\]

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

If your question is \[\frac{ y-4 }{ 2 }=10\] then you have to mutiply both sides by 2 and then you get y-4=20. Next you would add 4 on both sides and finally get y=24
